Best Time to Visit Krabi?
The best time to visit Krabi is typically during the dry season, which runs from November to March. This period offers sunny weather and low humidity, making it perfect for outdoor activities such as beach visits, island hopping, and hiking.
However, keep in mind that this is also the peak tourist season, and Krabi is a very popular destination in Thailand, so expect crowds and higher prices.
For the most enjoyable and peaceful time in Krabi, try visiting in the shoulder seasons, usually right after and just before the rainy season. In Krabi, these months are October-November and April.
How to Get to Nopharat Thara Beach & Viewpoint?
The Nopharat Thara Beach is easily accessible by a short 10-minute drive or a stroll along the coastline from the main area in Ao Nang.
To get to the most beautiful beach section and viewpoint of Nopharat Thara Beach, head to the western end of the beach, where the Nopharat Thara Pier is located. You can park your vehicle here.
At the end of the beach, a small peninsula full of rocks and trees is attached. There you will find a trail entrance between rocks, where you can climb up and arrive at the hidden viewpoint.

Krabi is a popular destination in Thailand. When we first headed to Nopharat Thara Beach to explore around Ao Nang, we weren’t expecting to find an almost untouched long stretch of beach with only a couple of people.
The funny thing is, this beautiful beach is located just behind the starting point of most island-hopping tours in Krabi, to nearby attractions such as Koh Hong Island, 4 islands, and Phi Phi Island.
Nopharat Thara Beach is long, with a part being just next to the hustle and bustle of one of Ao Nang’s main roads. However, the western part we’re talking about is completely calm and untouched, probably because there are no facilities such as restaurants and shops on the beachfront, no road behind, just nature.
Nopharat Thara Beach is part of the Hat Nopharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, explaining the stunning natural beauty of this beach with golden sand, clear turquoise waters, and a forest in the back.
We highly recommend walking to the small peninsula (at the western end of the beach) connected with a stretch of sand with a beach on both sides. On top of this rocky peninsula, you will find a viewpoint with amazing views of the beach and picturesque limestone cliffs in the backdrop. The trail entrance is hidden between rocks.
Nopharat Thara Beach is the perfect place to spend a day relaxing and enjoying nature or to visit for spectacular sunset views. Whatever time of the day you visit, make sure not to miss the viewpoint. For us, the highlight of this beach.
